Tokenizing Sovereign Assets to Connect Emerging Markets With Global Capital
Wook Lee is CEO and Founder of EDENA Capital Partners, an institutional digital asset platform focused on tokenizing sovereign and real-world assets across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. He is leading the development of a $20 billion+ pipeline of investable assets — including infrastructure, energy, private markets, and nature-based climate assets — designed to connect emerging markets with global institutional capital.
A capital markets and regulatory specialist, Wook works closely with governments, regulators, and sovereign institutions to structure compliant digital securities and enable cross-border capital formation using blockchain-based infrastructure. Under his leadership, EDENA has established strategic partnerships across multiple regions, including a joint venture with Egypt's BEK Group, chaired by former Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab, providing commercial reach across more than 70 countries.
Wook's work increasingly focuses on bringing natural capital and climate-linked assets on-chain, using data, satellite monitoring, and verification technologies to support transparent, investable environmental markets. He also serves as Chairman of W Foundation, an official UNFCCC partner from 2019 to 2022, and has delivered keynote addresses at COP25, COP26, and COP27.
