Fifteen Years in the Making
Blockchain Week - UNGA Edition is produced by brothers Bruce Porter Jr. and David Porter, who've spent close to 15 years building blockchain events around the world. What began as a decentralized, grassroots gathering during UN General Assembly week in New York has grown, year over year, into a 10-day program spanning Bitcoin, AI, space, energy, and fashion-tech.

From the Ground Up
In its earliest years, the event grew organically — other UNGA-week gatherings wanted to be part of it, and that momentum led to BitcoinPalooza and the Washington Elite Investment Summit & Gala, which has drawn approximately 500 attendees in past years. That grassroots growth is also how much of today's leadership found their way in: Lou Kerner and David Fung both first joined as speakers at BitcoinPalooza and Washington Elite before stepping into leadership roles at Blockchain Week - UNGA Edition itself.

2026: The Next Chapter
This year brings our first flagship two-day conference (September 16–17), anchoring a full 10-day program running September 10–19 in the heart of Times Square, timed alongside both the UN General Assembly and New York Fashion Week. Growing interest — and this year's geopolitical backdrop — pushed us to expand the format for the first time.
You'll also find us on the Hard Rock Marquee this year: a Times Square billboard running across three screens, every 2.5 minutes, for the full 10 days. We're proud to be collaborating with Paul Sladkus's Pause the World for Peace outdoor concert, closing out the week in Times Square on the final day.
